Mechanical Operations Process Engineer

Main responsibilities:

- Take responsibility for the mechanical operations production tools and their operation for processing 4” and 6” semiconductor wafers.
- Study, implement, maintain, and improve safety of mechanical operations production Ensure that tools and their operation comply with all safety regulations.
- Study processes related to the mechanical operations on semiconductor wafers.
- Continuously improve the knowledge in the field of mechanical operationsproduction processes.
- Transfer technological processes from development to production.
- Develop, maintain, and improve process parameters to ensure stable operation and consistent process results.
- Identify and familiarize yourself with required auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain tools to ensure reproducible operation and high availability, organize service when
- Support cleanroom operation by accepting responsibility for specific spaces and/or equipment and/or supplies.
- Cooperate with management and peers on production process optimization.
- Set up rules for checking and maintaining the accuracy of technological modes of all equipment included in the mechanical operationsproduction processes.
- Study, set, and improve stability of mechanical operationsproduction processes.


Job requirements:

- Master (MSE – (Dipl.) Ing.), or PhD degree in Material Science, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Physics, and/or Chemistry
- Experience in working with semiconductor processing equipment, production scale.
- Knowledge of mechanical operationsproduction equipment, control and measuring equipment, and the rules for its operation.
- Ability to design, perform and evaluate experiments for process development and improvements.
- Knowledge of solid-state compound semiconductor heterostructures which are used for manufacturing of edge-emitting (EEL) and vertically emitting (VCSEL) laser devices.
- English language level sufficient to work with technical literature and for technical communication with colleagues.
