Pulsed Laser Diode Driver LDD1200-150A-QCW


The laser diode driver (LDD) is designed to feed a semiconductor laser emitter with a desired pulsed current (QCW mode). The unit is used in pulsed diode-pumped laser systems.

Signal Inputs / Outputs
- VMON – Output voltage monitor. Analog output. 0…10 V = 0…250 V out
- IMON – Output current monitor. Analog output. 0…10 V = 0…150 A out
- GNDA – Analog ground
- GND – Digital ground
- IN_MOD – Pulse control. Digital input. TTL high = On; TTL low = Off
- ENABLE – Enable digital input. High (+2…+15 V) = Run; Low (< 0.8 V) = Off
- ERROR1 – Over-heating indicator. Open collector digital output. Connect to GND = Error
- INTLOCK – Interlock digital input. Open = off; connect to GNDI = Run
- ERROR2 – Over-current, over-voltage indicator. Open collector digital output. Connect to GND = Error
- READY – Signal of readiness of LDD. Open collector digital output. Connect to GND = LDD is ready
- IPROG – Output current set point. Analog input. 0…10 V = 0…150 A out
- +15VPI – Auxiliary voltage outputs +15 V (current ≤ 100 mA)

The LDD1200-150А-QCW can be powered by AC/DC converters with output voltage of up to 225V and limitation of output current at 7...10A.The energy built up in the load during a pulse is accumulated in a 24µF capacitor bank on board the LDD1200-150А-QCW.For low frequency and longer pulse length operation the LDD1200-150А-QCW can be packaged with additional 40µF capacitors to be connected in parallel to a AC/DC converter output. See Fig. 2 for the relationship of additionally required capacitance to pulse length and LDD output voltage at max output current (@ 1Hz repetition rate).Fig. 2
