Epitaxy Engineer

He/she will be responsible for the operation of an MBE system as well as the associated auxiliary equipment. He/she will perform epitaxial growth, develop new processes, carry out all necessary maintenance of the growth reactor and ancillary equipment, ensure that all appropriate safety measures are carried out.

Location: 

Semiconductor fab, Kralupy nad Vltavou Czech Republic (Prague area)

Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:

• Perform epitaxial growth on compound semiconductor materials by MBE
• Control and optimize processes
• Maintain and repair growth reactor and support equipment
• Document procedures for material growth and equipment maintenance
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment including appropriate engineering controls, safety
  procedures, toxic gas monitoring, and personal protective equipment usage
• Characterize epitaxial material using optical microscope, X-ray diffraction, etc.
• Communicate system status to management and engineering and production personnel

Qualifications
experience with MBE system and/or high vacuum equipment

Education:
Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD degree, depending on experience level, in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of epitaxial growth processes and system operation
• Significant experience with semiconductor material characterization techniques 
• Experience with cleanroom operations
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Systematic and detail-oriented working
• Ability to use air purifying respirator and SCBA
• Ability to lift 12 kilograms.
